Ron,
Finally got around to fixing the Rangelite on my Graflex.
I found the Radio Shack bulb #272-1132 works great produces a bright spot on the wall at 15'
with no problem, (only in a dark room).
1. First remove the Batteries, then remove the two chrome screws on the top of the top mounted Rangefinder, lift off the top of the Rangefinder. Be careful not to bump or touch the mirrors. Set the Rangfinder top upside down on your workbench.
Loosen the Phillips screw to the left of the bulb, remove old bulb. Install the new bulb, mount on the holder with only the threaded part of the base engaging the holder(Make sure the filament is aligned up and down), retighten the screw. When projected this will produce a filiment image (looks like a coil spring on the wall)
Use a piece of masking tape or white paper to make sure the bulb is aligned right and left,
should be well centered as in picture, may need to be adjusted a couple of times.
Reassemble the top and test on a wall about 8-10 feet away, readjust if necessary.
Hope this helps
Carl
