If you are using a rangefinder or a focusing scale with infinity
stops, none of which have been adjusted to either lens, then they
might accidentally be closer to correct with the Graftar (because
of minor focal length variations) than with the Xenar.
If you are using a ground glass back with both lenses, and the
same type of filmholder or rollholder, then maybe the Xenar really
is bad. Does it have any marks of disassembly or tampering? RKS
