I recently acquired a mint condition Anniversary Speed
Graphic which has one major problem. The focal plane
shutter will not completely close from the O position,
stopping about half way shut. It works well at the
higher speeds and is accurate at Tension 6. The
bottom roller just seems to run out of spring tension
when releasing the shutter from the O position
regardless of the Tension setting. Also, adjusting
the Tension from 1-6 has only a modest effect on the
higher speeds, which I am checking with a Calumet
shutter speed tester.
Can anyone tell me how to correct this problem, which
I suspect may have been caused by storing the camera
for a prolonged period without releasing the FP
shutter?
