I just got a nice Century recently and have 2
questions for your knowledgables:
(1) The lens c/w is a Trioptar 103mm/f4.5, but
at 'graflex.org.', there listed is Trioptar 101mm lens
and no 103mm lens at all. I wonder it is a typo or I
have something else that not yet documented (unlikely,
i know)?
(2) Following the way posted on 'graflex.org', I could
not find those characters (code) mentioned to identify
the years of make, i.e. letter/number/letter. The code
is said to start around 1961. Instead, me Century does
not have those code but a series No. on the inside of
the folding bed (beneeth the focusing rail and metal
trade mark plate) is like 5086XX. There is also a
different No. engraved on the back side of the
lensboard. Can anyone assist me to identify my
Cnetury's age? It would be surprised to me for its
nice condition that it was made before 1961.
Thanks very much inadvance!
Dongyun
