No. You must first determine which Speed Graphic camera your son has. Read the articles on the mainboard to educate yourself on that. Chances are it is a Pacemaker, since they are the most common, but you must be sure. The older series are the Anniversary models. The latest was the Super and Super Speed, which have boards that accomodate electrical connections.
:Do they all have the same size hole for the lens?
No. The lens is held to the board by a retaining ring on the back. The portion of the shutter which passes though the board at that point varies with the lens/shutter. You might find a board with a smaller hole than your lens, in which event a good machinest can enlarge the hole.
:If I buy the lesns without board can you suggest a source for the appropriate board?
Lots of people sell those. Among the companies are Pacific Rim Camera, Midwest Photo, Stephen Shuart. You can easily find their web pages. Be careful not to choose a lens which is too large to fit a Graflex board. That is your overall limitation.
:Where can I find Steve Grimes?
http://www.skgrimes.com/ Steve is only one of many individuals which can do that work. Anyone with the equipment to accurately bore a hole through a piece of aluminum can do it. You might check with your local camera store to see if they have somebody to recommend, if you want the work done locally. Steve is highly regarded.
