Series V, around the size of a quarter,
is pretty common for something like a
Rolleiflex TLR, while Series VI, about
the size of a half-dollar, is pretty
common for "normal" lenses for the
4x5 (127-135 mm focal length). The adaptors
usually slip over the outside of the
lens barrel and stay on by tension (they
are a little springy). Or some have tiny
setscrews. I like the pinchy ones better.

The adaptors are sized in either
inches or millimeters. That refers to the
OUTSIDE DIAMETER of the lens you intend
to use it on.
