I have a copy of that manual. Maybe a
good technician could make an AC adaptor
using the technical info, but it doesn't
look very likely to me (but I'm a klutz).

I have it because I have one of those early
ni-cad Stroboflash units. The AC side of
it works like a champ, but the battery
won't take a charge any more, and it's
a really, really REALLY oddball item that
I have not been able to find a substitute
for. It is a three-cell "flooded" ni-cad.
That means it has caps like a car battery
and you can see the plates and electrolyte
inside (it is in a clear plastic case).

Four volts (ni-cad cells put out about 1.3
volts apiece).

Somebody in Shutterbug was selling AC adaptors
for the Stroboflash about 10 years ago.
Does anybody know if the company is still
around? I bought one back then and it's
still working fine. I have it in a Strobo II.
But besides the Strobo II and the Strobo IV
with the built-in adaptor/ni-cad set, I
have three MORE Strobo IVs with no power
source. Also a Strobo I, which took a
pair of batteries you cannot get anywhere,
anymore, at any price.
