Alec,
thanks for the interest. Actually I did not consider it because the Grafmatic came with the camera when I purchased it. I took one look at the thing and knew I would never use it. At the time I didn't know that they sold for so much. C'est La Vie.
The day I bought the camera (at a camera swap in SF CA area) I was inguiring about polaroid backs, the Horseman was mentioned as well as the fact that some guys had made their own with old film pack polaroids. I guess I was to anxious to get to work on it. I bought the polaroid the same day and started working on it at the next opporturnity.
I think anything that will mount to the 6x9 Graflok will work providing you have enough side wall to work with while mounting. I had some problems with the grafmatic because when I took it apart I no longer had the nice dark slide mount. I ended up having to Gerri-rig the grafmatic film plate springs to hold in my dark slide, and then form a new light block at the slide entrance.
I could be that the film pack adapter might work even better. I've never seen one. But if it's like a 'normal' polaroid film pack adaptor, where you just slip in a pack of film and close the back...it would probably work much better.

It's a fun project. Let me know if you give it a try.

DL
