I have been asked what type of camera a 1925 press
photographer would have used, and my first thought was
a Graflex or early Speed Graphic. Sound right?
Then, I wondered how the early press photog would have
illuminated his subject - were attached flashguns
available yet, or would an auxiliary off-camera flash
device have been necessary? What would the flash have
used for light? Magnesium? A bulb?
