Roabert--There are actually only 6 settings
on the tensioner--#1 thru #6--the intermediates
(without numbers)have no tension function--
the release pawl clicks on every tooth--odd
number of teeth to get to six--'numbers'
correspond to the shutter speed plate 'letters'
for setting curtain shutter speeds.
