Jim,

-soak the film 1-2 minutes in distilled water. Pour out the water and proceed with your development. Dont be alarmed if the water is colored when you pour it out. This prevents the formation of bubbles on the film. Also, use a distilled water rinse instead of an acid stop bath. I use FP4+ for most of my work. Try PMK developer with it. It is an amazing developer.
