: I have a flash question: What electronic flash head
: is recommended to use with a Graflex Speed Graphic
: with a 127 mm lens and 90 mm lens. I seek a flash
: head I can mount on the Graflex flash battery holder
: which attaches to the camera body.
: I would also like to know where I can obtain
: viewfinder masks which correspond to a 6x9 and 6x7
: field of view as I will be using roll film backs.
: Would appreciate any ideas or sources.
Since the viewfinder was never designed to be micrometer
accurate, they never made masks for 6x7.The proper mask for a 127
on 6x9 is a No. 9.
The mask for 90mm on 6x9 is a number 3.
Graflex made the Stobo-flash in Numbers I, II, and IV. The IV has
an output of 200 watt-seconds equal to a Metz 60 ct 1 or a Norman
200B. These should be that expensive to buy since the reliablity
after 50 years isn't good, and I seem to remember that repair
facilities won't come close to them because the capacitors used
PCBs. I may have that confused with the old "widow maker"
Ascors.
Why did owners of Ascors carry a broom handle to weddings?
To separate the a s s i s t a n t from the stobe.
