Just a short note on the Super Speed. I picked
one up about 4 years ago and have had a lot
of fun with the camera. I too have the 1/1000
shutter on a rodenstock 135mm lens and have
had gread success with it. After hearing
some of the same concerns about the lens
as you have I posted a number of mail messages
asking for recommendations and one was use
the lens/shutter as long as it works, but
you probably won't find anyone to work on
it if it fails. I have used mine
mostly at slower speeds (1/100) or less, but
did take a few photos of humming birds at
1/500 sec. with flash and they worked out
OK as well.

I have 3 other lenses for the camera
90mm, 210mm, 250mm a 385mm and have had
reasonably good luck with all of them.
Setting off one of the flash bulbs in
a crowd gets peoples attention.

If you have any specific questions email
me and I'll write back.

Regards and have run, Dan
