Thanks guys -

With your help I am beginning to learn about this little Speed Graphic.
I was constrained in negative size by my Beseler 23C Enlarger or I would have considered a 4x5 Speed Graphic or even a used
Linhof. There are always choices to be made and once you've gone down one road some of your options are closed.
So I'll have to keep learning and asking. It may not be a good idea to try portraits with this little 2x3. To tell you the truth I'm not
sure what would be the best use for it yet. But it has a larger negative than my 35mm and therefore should give me a higher quality
negative, less grain, and better tone. And I wanted to try making pictures where I have to be very focused and make each decision
consciously and be forced to take my time before tripping the shutter. I pictured it mostly in my apt/studio on a tripod for portraits of
people. That and as a landscape camera using Fuji Velvia. I don't know which would be the best lens for landscapes. I understand
the Tessar that came on the camera is not the sharpest in the corners. I am just going to have to take some pictures in TMX 100
ASA and see what the negatives look like.

After what Les said I have my eye out for the 8" Tele Optar. I wonder if Tele Optar is the optical configuration or the brand name.
I suspect the former and I wonder if the brand name would be Kodak. And though I admire tack sharp lenses, for portraits the Schneider is probably overkill.

I am so glad to have found this board. This is like a Web-based Camera club.

Thanks to you all again.
Kent
