: : I recently purchased a 4x5 grafmatic, and loose inside
: : was a thin metal tab with a felt covered metal tab
: : attached. I think it is the light blocker for the
: : dark slide, and I think I know where it goes, but am
: : not sure. Before I glue it back in place (if that is
: : the best solution), I wonder if new felt could be
: : added, or the part remade with new felt, or if there
: : is a new part available. Is there a repair person for
: : grafmatics? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

: Yes add the felt (all around)if it is worn out--and the piece can be reinstalled--not much call for grafmatic repairmen, so you must ask diff repairmen in the Where To Get section
To Bert Saunders :
Thank you Bert for your response. I took the film holder apart by unscrewing 3 screws on each side, and was able to see clearly where the light blocker was to go. I glued it back into place, the key was to not place glue over the magnetic numbering wheel. It works fine, and now just needs to be tested with film. There is no visible light leak when held up to a strong light. Thank you again. Jim Tetz
