Well I was going to say put a stop behind the lens, but you've nixed that. I can't tell you how they used to do it, but I remember seeing a "focusing spacer" used when the Graphic Polaroid back was used. It was nothing more that a piece of sheet metal to compensate for the focus shift on the back. In your case you could use any spacer handy, something 1.5-2" long. Set the stops with the block in front of the lens. Adjust the rangefinder (if possible) to the lens. Then when you want to point and shoot it would be a matter of opening the bed plp the sapcer, pull the standard out, drop the bed, pick up the spacer on the floor... and shoot!
