: I've been accumulating parts for an inexpensive
: camera to keep in the trunk of my car.

: And I am now at the point where I need to
: make a decision on which lens I should put
: on it.

: It is a 3x4 Speed, I have a 22 back for it
: to use 120 film. I am thnking of using an
: old, uncoated, Bauch and Lomb 5x7 tessar lens
-------------
John--the 5x7 tessar will work--BUT--the
standard lens for this camera was the Kodak
Anastigmat f:4.5 (5 1/2")BBL or Compur
shutter--and dont mess with the rangefinder
for the 5x7 lens--adjust with stops on the
focus rails, and focus initially on the GG
back Bert

: and then trying to sync the Kalart Rangefinder
: to that focal length.

: Has anyone tried this? If so do you have
: any tips that may help me out?
: Any experience with this lens? I was thinking
: of using it primarly because of this
: article I found on the Large Format Photography
: Homepage:

: Any advice would be appreciated.
