all,
I have a 4X5 Pacemaker with a Graflok back. I just received a Graphic 22 back. The instructions say" To fit to the graflok back, a Graphic Roll Holder is required." What is this?
tks

I'm not sure what you have or why the instructions are saything that.
A roll film back is mainly two parts. An insert, than holds the film, and a wrap around back that will be design to fit a particular camera size.
If you've got something with a knob or a lever and a dial that counts to 12 and a part that says "Graphic 22" on the outside that fits your camera size. Then you should be all set.

well....my main problem is that I just realized I have a spring back. How do I secure the back to the camera so it doesn't fall off? |

Graflex made a spring kit, I bought one and paid an dear price. Before I bought one, I made my own out of old hack saw blades a very tedious process, but effective. What I am not sure of if the 2x3 and 4x5 take the same kit. Biggest problems with the spring kit is the time it takes to convert back to GG. Be sure your infinity setting is correct, and your rangefindr is tracking before you go to rollfilm. Russ |

4x5 and 2x3 took a different spring kit!! 4x5 springs were longer than 2x3!
I have a sketch for a 2x3 model if you are interested.

One thing I wasn't sure of, from this thread, is whether the RFB was a model for a 6x9 camera, or for a 4x5 camera. If the former, then will the accessory spring kit work? I wouldn't think so. |
