Purchased a used bogen tripod with the 3 Way 3047 Version 2 head. The quick release lever will not spring back to engage the plate or lock in place when manually engaged. I have searched the internet on this issue. I have found that it is supposed to be spring loaded and identified it as a version 2. Unable to find info on how to repair it. Pictures from the manual do not identify the positioning of the spring in the assembly. I have been taping it closed.
Does anyone know of this problem or it's repair?
Thanks in advance
Glen

Maybe you need this: https://bogentripodparts.com/partspages/8048.html
I'm sure you've already tried sprizting the moving parts with lube? (CRC 5-56, or silicon)

Howdy,
Yes spritzed it and then disassembled and greased. Luckily the spring was not broken, I just needed to figure out how to get it all aligned. Mother of invention and such. All back together, tensioned the spring adequately and now it "springs" into locking!
Thank you for the reply and idea!
