I have recently acquired a B Graflex in very good condition. However, the leather joints in the viewing hood are a bit stiff, and I would like to limber them up a bit. I've used Pledge furniture polish as recommended on this site on bellows before - is this also suitable for the viewing hood, given that it is leather and not synthetic? Or would neatsfoot oil be a better bet? _________________ WilliamH |

Neatsfoot oil will be best, Pledge second.
I reinforce the seams by bonding new cloth to the inside of the hood centering the seam on a 1 1/2 inch to 2 inch wide strip of cloth depending on the seam. Nylon, silk, or shutter cloth will work fine. _________________ The best camera ever made is the one that YOU enjoy using and produces the image quality that satifies YOU. |

Thanks! The cloth inside seems to be in pretty good shape, but I will keep your suggestion of reinforcement in mind. _________________ WilliamH |
