There's a pretty good article in the current View Camera about the 5 different slide films available in the quickload/readyload format. I don't have the article in front of me, but I think it was E100, E100s , E100vs, Provia and Velvia. Overall, I think the author decided it was a toss-up between the E100VS and the Provia, depending on the subject. It also had some really good reciprocity correction tables.
Here is my actual question: In late August every year (around the 20th) comes the Perseid meteor shower. A few years ago I tried some 15 minute exposures on Provia through my 35mm F-100 (toasted the lithum batteries in about 10 exposures...). I would like to try again with the Graflex (Big plates, wide angle lens, mechanical shutter...) How do reciprocity rules apply when taking really long *night* exposures. Do I just ignore them as there isn't really enough light for it to be a problem, or to I have to fudge a bit? |
