Do any of the forum members know of or have stores and sources for infinity stops for Crown Graphic 4x5's? I'm having a bit of a time locating some. I've seen a pair on the "bay" but the screws were 'screwed' pardon the pun.
Website links, phones, names would be appreciated. If anyone here has a pair to sell leave a note here or pm me with details and prices.
thanks Jan |

jan, try www.mpex.com. Call 'em, speak with Jimmy. Much of mpex's stock is not posted on the site.
Also contact ebay seller canyonlandsgraphics directly.
Finally, Fred Lustig in Reno, NV probably has some he'd sell you. He's in the Reno telephone directory.
Also, now that I think of it, a hobby shop just might have the screws you need.
Cheers,

I checked my Century manual and all it says is "screw---machine", no size stated. I can tell you, though, that it's tiny! Wouldn't surprise me if it's a 00-90. If you obtain the stops and find that you need the screws, best way would be to take a trip to the hobby shop and try various small screw sizes until you found ones that fit. In the Toronto area I find a listing for George's Trains Ltd., with two locations. Worth a try, or at least a phone call.
Of course, there's always the chance that the screw is one of those really off-size items, unique to Graflex, that they seemed to like to use now and then. In that case, it might be possible to drill and re-tap for a more common size. I'd follow up on Dan's suggestions before I tried anything so drastic, though. |
