Hi, I am not a real photographer, I just have a question about an item I got from a relative some years ago. It is a Wollensak Graflex Tele-Optar f/5.6. It is in really nice condition and it comes in a wooden case. On on side is a mark USAF 504 4.68915. Perhaps this means US Air Force ? I have read that these cameras where used by the army.
I would like to know, how old this Tele-Optar is and what is a fair price for it ?

Well from what my Dad (a WWII vet) tells me the USAF did come into existence until 1946 so I'd guess and say it was made sometime in the 50s.
As to value the best answer is to look at completed auctions on ebay. Assume at least 10% premium for the military markings.
