I just acquired a very old Mini Speed (has the pre-Anny style opticial VF and the shutter speed table on the top deck) that came with a Graflex-style back. I trial fitted a RH-8 rollholder and it looks as if it might work with a little fiddling. Anyone else try this?

The offical word from Graflex was that the distance from the front face of the holder to the film plane was different between a Graphic and a Graflex back. If you set up the rangefinder using a pieceof glass in the mounted roll holder then it should work. Notice too that Graflex backs have the ridge in the back, while Graphic holders have the ridge, so you'll be going ridge to ridge and it may leak light.
Please remember that Graflex backed Mini speeds are scarce to rare, film holders arent. So if at all possible, modify in such a way that it's reversable and then to the roll holder first.

I don't have any Graflex holders to measure against, but it'll be easy enough to set up the RF with the rollholders.
The ridges are offset quite a bit, and the holder ridge is in the light trap material of the back, so I don't think leaks will be an issue.
My first inclination was to hack the back, but if they aren't common I'll work with what's here.
