I just got a 3A and want to fix it up It didn't have a lense, but I ended up with a lense, a 7 1/2" 4.5 3x5 anstigmat, that I thought was for a 3A. It's(the board) just a tad too big.Did the lenseboard size change over time with the 3A. Also the mirror won't lock down Any hints?
Thanks
Jamie

Jamie,
The lensbd that was originally fitted was 3x3, then changed to a 3 1/4 sq about 1913!
You must pull the lensbd out a ways before the mirror will miss it and lock down! Oddball folding arraingement on this camera was very hard on the spring return and the bellows.....suggest you remove the lensbd so you can lube the shutter release inside the body....work it a bit to work the lube in! I use a lightweight automotive bearing grease, doesnt take much!
