Hi,
I just got a Anniversary Speed Graphic and I want to clean it up, lube it, and make sure the FP shutter works more smoothly (kinda lags at T).
I've been looking for a service manual or some information on breaking down the camera but I can't find any. Where's the best place to start? What should I use to clean the parts and lubricate the moving parts?
My friend uses lighter fluid to clean his camera parts, is that recommended?
Regards,
Jason |

Send me your e-mail address and I'll send you a pdf of the service manual. I just don't have room for it at the moment on my web site...

and the manual will say use grease number -____ and so forth. Use Windex, Fantasic, 409, Simple Green or simular product to clean the leather covering on the body and bellows. Once cleaned, coat with any good leather conditioner or Lemon Pledge. For the shutter and hinge points, 3 in 1 oil, Tri Flow or simular light weight oil; one to two drops are enough more is harmfull. For grease use luberplate or white lithium grease, apply sparingly and wipe off excess.
Happy shooting!
