Hi all -- I am considering seriously to disassemble my own Super Speed Graphic (#650103) to clean it and figure out what's wrong with the RF etc.
I have purchased the Speed Graphic/Super Speed Graphic manual from Ed Romney. However, I see that there are others who sell manuals too like on CraigsCamera.com.
Can anyone tell me if these are all the same manuals, or whether there are other/better manuals out there which I can use?
I will not be able to do the electronic testing of the circuits, and I won't be fooling with the shutter, so if I just manage to get the RF to focus properly, I'll be happy!
I am also concerned that the process of disassembly-reassembly may require acquiring a completely new part that I can't find.
Oh, and I seem to be missing infinity stops . . . |

without infinity stops, the RF will be impossible to calibrate once it's back together.
One note of concern. I've heard that you must read and follow the manual carefully. There's one part that is lightly spring loaded and must be unsprung or pinned (jammed) before releasing or it tends to swing wildly and break the mirror.
Or so I've been told. |
