OK, I know there is plenty of info on how to adjust and cailibrate the side-mounted Kalart rangefinder....but how about how to install it? I replaced mine and I am having the darnest time getting it in. Particularly the position of the actuator arm. Anyone know where there is information to get help?

After you have mounted the rangefinder to the body, the actuating arm must be properly positioned on the shaft. You may need to insert the shaft into the arm before attaching it to the body and leave it loose until ready for this step. Once you have secured the rangefinder, you need to turn the shaft counter clockwise, facing the end of the shaft, until it stops. Don't force it! You will need a tiny wrench that fits the flats on the shaft for this. I made my own, as it must be very thin, also. OK, holding the shaft against it's stop, position the arm against the eccentric on the focus rail, with the focus racked all the way back, or set at infinity on the focus scale. Now for the fun part - while holding the shaft back and the arm forward, tighten the set screw in the arm hub. You will need about 23 very thin fingers and a few magic cuss words to do this. You are now ready to start the calibration process. Hope I explained it so it makes sense.
