Hi,
I'm interested in purchasing a 4x5 Speed Graphic....and I know I'd like to find one with both a focal plane shutter and in-lens shutter....
And in my purusing e-bay for a good deal, I've encountered a problem...I can't tell via the pictures most people post if I'm looking at a regular Speed Graphic/Pacemaker or a Crown Graphic....And I can't find any discernible differences on the graflex.org model review page....
So thanks much for any information in adavance....

| Go here http://www.graflex.org/speed-graphic/graphic-models.html to see the right side (viewed from behind) of a Speed Graphic. Note the key for winding the shutter up and the shutter speed/tension controller. Crown Graphics don't have either.
When in doubt, ASK the idiot seller. Many people use the words "Speed Graphic" to refer to any old press camera. ASK the seller, and when you ask, tell it what to look for. |

Thanks Dan,
And yeah, the main problem with e-bay or any kind of online auction is that the sellers found the damned thing in their attics and have no idea what a focal plane shutter is...And since I'm just learning about the camera, I haven't been knowledgeable to accurately describe what the seller should look for...
Thanks again,
