I have a 90mm in Grphex shutter. The diameter of the shutter appears to be
1 3/16" in diameter. Anyone know where i can get a lensboard drilled or what the actual diameter is in case I have to drill it myself.
Thanks,
ash13brook

I'm sorry to say that I'm not going to unmount my 90 to measure exactly, but it's roughly 1 1/4 inches. I don't know if that comes up to any standard hole size. Maybe someone else can do better?

New boards are readily available from midwest, and I believe they can drill them for you?

If MPEX can't/won't supply a board drilled to hold your shutter, try http://www.skgrimes.com .

Your other option for drilling the lensboard is your friendly local machine shop. I've had all four of my boards done this way; they charge $8 per.

Mine is 1 3/16" as well, the boards are very easy to drill, I do all of my own with a small hole saw kit that I purchased at Home Depot, if the board is not drilled, just draw lines from corner to corner to locate center, punch or drill a small pilot hole and then use the correct hole saw, very easy to do.

Another place you might consider, to drill holes in lensboards. Is your local High School or Community Collage machine shop, teachers. They might even do it for free, if you bring your Graphex along, to show them (class) the fine machine work and design of a Classic. You could even inspire a future camera repairman, while getting a hole drilled too!

If you have the shutter in your hand wouldn't you be the best one to measure it?
