I am trying to reassemble a camera I received in pieces, and need to know:
1- does the frosted side of the glass face the lens or the film?
2- there is a plastic fresnel sheet dubbled up with the glass. What does it do? It has a smooth side and a rough side. Which side of the plastic sheet goes against which side of the frosted glass? Any help appreciated, Terry

Just for future reference... If you had searched for ground glass (or GG) and freznel (or Ektalite as they're known here) you would have gotten the answer... Anyways...

The frosted side of the GG faces the lens. The 'rough' side of the Ektalite (freznel) faces the ground side of the GG.

So, from the back of the camera, you start with the clear side of the GG, to frosted side of the GG, to rough side of the Ektalite, to clear side of the Ektalie, to air, to lens...
