I need the plastic housing only. The front glass and the eyepiece are fine. Just need the plastic housing that is stamped "Graflex".
(Already looked on eBay.)
Any help would be appreciated.
Might have to wait until Feb 19,20 when they have the camera show in North Miami.

| Ed, I'm going to be on vacation in FL around then, had been thinking of dropping in on that show on the 19th on my way home. I take it you've been to the last couple of 'em, do you recommend it?
I ask because the show that's local to me, which isn't a bad place to find odds and ends, is drying up and blowing away. The last couple of distant ones I contrived to attend have had more dealers and potential buyers, less old junk and more expensive newer stuff and collectors' items. So I'm getting pretty discouraged about camera shows.
Cheers,

Well, I have been to it twice before...and that was back in 1995, 1996.
It is the biggest show in the South. (At least that is how they advertise it in Shutterbug.)
Lots of vendors (back then). I am planning on going on Saturday, Feb 19 with the wife. Doors open at 11 AM on Saturday.
From Shutterbug:
19&20 FL—FPCC 28TH ANNUAL MIAMI/FT LAUDERDALE CAMERA SHOW. This is the largest camera show in the south. Saturday 11am-5pm. Sunday 10am-4pm. North Miami Armory, 13250 NE 8th Ave., North Miami, FL. Contact: Nancy Green, PO Box 11267, FT Lauderdale, FL 33339, 954-564-1022.
Still looking for that Viewfinder piece.

They DO show up on eBay from time to time. About 6 weeks ago a buddy of mine in England asked me to bid on one in Canada for him, as the vendor wouldn't ship overseas.

I will keep looking. Spoke with Richard Ritter in VT. If he comes across any, he will let me know. From some of the comments I have reahe is a good tech to go to for repairs on the Speed Graphics.

It's commonly known as the optical finder. If you find one, it will likely be complete. Sometimes you can find one that's missing the eyepiece, as they often get lost. The plastic finder on the pre Pacemaker cameras is the same for all sizes, 2X3 tru 4X5.

Thanks.
I might try and buy another camera on eBay to keep around for parts.
What's a good price to pay for a fair-to-good 2x3 Miniature Speed Graphic?

Are you looking for the long type that screws to the camera, or the short one that slides in a bracket. I have one of the old type, missing the rear eyepiece, that is available of course for free. Russ |
