On a SG or CG:
A 90 will make infinity and still be on the front bed. How about an 80mm? Anyone here use an 80mm on 4x5 Crown? I'd love a 75mm but I'm not willing to remove the speedfinder to allow rise and I'm not crazy about fiddeling with the standard while its inside the box. So I'm thinking that the 80mm could just make it out to the front rails.
No, not the WF Ektar. The Schneider XL.

By analogy -- my 65/8 Acugon makes infinity outside of my Century's box -- it might work. Since you're in NYC, why don't you take y'r Crown into Manhattan, visit a dealer who has the lens, and ask it what it thinks?

Cheers,

Dan

Thats a possibility that I've not overlooked. Just looking for someone who has possibly been here and done that. Thanks.
