Hi,

I stumbled across this site:
http://syarakusei.web.infoseek.co.jp/METROGON.htm

looks like he has the infamous B&L Metrogon lens mounted to his Graflex (actually, I think it's a Linhof, but anyway).
Does anyone have experience with this combination?

thanks!

Marco

No experience, sorry.

Pardon my apparent stupidity, but why would anyone use a 6" Metrogon on a 4x5 camera with limited movements? In that situation, a Metrogon is just a normal lens, and not a particularly sharp one. Its enormous coverage, relative to 4x5, can't be used, so what's the point?

Mind you, I'm guilty of the same sin, although not quite as extreme. I use lenses made for 4x5 and 5x7 and even 8x10 on 2x3 Graphics. But I don't won a 110 SAXL, let alone use it on 2x3.

Regards,

Dan

I'd try a Hypergon 120 on 4x5 if I could get my paws on one ridiculos as that might seem.
