I have a Ciro-flex with a Wollensak f/3.5 85mm in an Alphax shutter (1/10 to 1/200). The focus knob travels from near focus to infinity without moving the lens assemble, and it feels as if is engaged only at the begging and end of its travel, with a large slack area in the middle.
I had a look-see but was unable to determine what the problem is. Can anyone clue me in? |

The mechanical movement is a simple cam assembly attached to the knob. There is a fork that rides on both the inside and outside of the cam, which pulls the lens in and out when the cam turns. If you look at it for a little while, it's all fairly simple.
Email me if you need further instruction.
Hope this helps.
