I just received my brand new (to me) Super Speed Graphic with graflok back. My first 4x5. Unfortunately, I was pulling out on the back to put in a polaroid back, and I broke the back off. The camera spent its whole life taking pictures and in 5 minutes I broke it. I feel like Charlie Brown. Good grief!
Anyhow, the part that broke was one of the dark gray metal springs (there are two on the back, one at the top and one at the bottom) that the silver metal pieces go under. When looking at the back of the camera (before I broke it), one silver metal / serated piece was at the top left, one at the bottom left. when those were pushed in they would have lifted the gray metal spring? I think these silver metal things actually hold the back onto the camera.
Question: Do I need a new graflok back? can the grey metal springer be replaced? I'm in Dallas, Texas. Who can do this for me or can I do it myself?

Is the spring in two or more pieces or did the retainer pin break or some other part of the ground glass holder go?
1). spring broke-from the home page>Related Sites>commercial selling graflex>bottom of that page=Patrs and repair.
2).Groundglass frame broke allowing graflok and spring to fall out-replace frame or contact a welding shop and see of they can fix yours for you.
