I just purchased a Super Speed. The lens is a Graflex Optar 135mm made by Rodenstock. However when I depress the red shutter release button it depresses the release on the side of the lens but the shutter leafs do not open. When I manually press the shutter release on the side of the lens nothing happens either. I wrote the former owner and he says you have to cock the shutter? Anyone with some advice would be appreciated. |

Gently but firmly rotate the lens shade CLOCKWISE a bit more than a quarter turn. You should hear it click to engage.
Now if you rotate it CC the shade will come off and you can drop in the Series VI filter of your choice.
