gentleman,
it seems that the shutter release arm is missing. the one that allows you to trip the lens shutter from the body of the camera. also missing is the viewier that sits on the top of the camera. while these aren't necessary, does anyone have a good source for parts? thanks for all the help. this site and you guys ROCK! |

The list of vendors on the main page is good for these kinds of searches. That's why neither FS or WTB messages are permitted on the helpboard.
That being said, Stephen Shuart usually has them. |

Stephen Shuart would be my first choice, too.
This may be belaboring the obvious, but it would not always have been obvious to me -- first, there are two "tubular viewfinders," a longer (nominally 3 inch) one for the "Pacemaker Speed" with its focal plane shutter, and a shorter (2 inch) for "Crown" and "Century" models, which have shallower bodies. You want the longer one.
A "Pacemaker Speed" could be purchased without a tubular viewfinder. If it was, it may not have the mounting clip for the finder installed, and you will want to get one when you get the finder.
The tubular viewfinder is designed to accept metal frames or masks that slip down between a front-mounted metal bezel and the negative object lens. You'll need the mask appropriate to your 135mm. lens.
This site contains a very useful listing of the mask numbers and the focal lengths of the lenses with which each is intended to work. |
