I have recently aquired a crown graphic serial 886402 with a Kodak Ektar 152mm lens. Love the camera (it's as fun to play with as it is to see the pictures). Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone has date information available for this camera. After reading the Forum messages my guess is 1952-1953. Anyone have more insight?

If the lens is original for the camera you can date it by the lens serial #. This link, http://www.graflex.org/speed-graphic/lenses.html will take you to a page that if you scroll down gives you the dates of manufacture for Ektar lenses based on the serial #. This is what I used to get an idea of when my Crown was made.

I'll bet the lens serial starts with RM.
