I got into a discussion tonight with the wife about the lack of wedding pictures we have. I made mention that with all the photographers I've met since then, we should do the wedding over and have a real photographer there to document the event.
Well, her immediate comment was "and you want pictures of us now, older and fatter?"
I said " don't worry. Everyone knows that the older the photographer taking the pictures, the younger you look in them! And I know a lot of old photographers!"
Then again, I'm not sure I know of anyone _that_ old

I took a 4X5 Crown to my wedding in 1958. One person is missing in each photo. I gave a quick tutorial to the participants and we all took turns taking pictures of the rest of the crew. Yep...it was a small private wedding...but the photos were great. Wish we still looked like that. Ah, yes...vanity rears its ugly head. |

Well, on the serious side, you'd think that would be the one area I would have covered...
But with everything else we had to do... We wound up with two 'friends' that were supposed to handle the photos. I think one was even a photographer. They did take a lot of photos, or at least flashed a lot of flashes. One person has no idea what happened to the photos and thinks he sent them to us (still waiting...). The other person disappeared off the face of the Earth... Luckily we have a few snapshots, and the memories

I shot a wedding for friend a few years back. We were both assistants, tho he was more widely known. he wanted table shots, so I had a 35mm set up with a 283 viv and my assisant with a metz for bounce.
We were limited on tme, but where cranking through the tables without a hitch...
Until I get to the tables where most of the photogaphic talent of metro Detroit sit.
1st shot...no bounce flash.. 2nd through the 3rd, no vivtar flash.... I finally hard wire the Viv without the radio slave and get one shot, but by now I'm the laughing stock.
The last 6 tables I shot without a problem. |

Well there's just more proof that photographers belong _behind_ the camera!
