Hello everybody.
I just both a Super Graphic which don't have lens board and cam.
I want to use this camera whit a 210 mm / copal #1.
I find this lens board in a auction bud I don't understand what I have to do whith the "jumb nut"
Thanks for your help!
Description of the lens board:
This is a flat lens board for a 4x5 Speed or Crown Graflex camera. This is an original flat board. The shutter hole is 1 9/16" so this would take a Copal 1 shutter. Of course it is not threaded so you will need a jamb nut for your lens. |

Hi. It sounds to me like they're telling you that, since the hole in the lens board is not threaded,(they usually are not) you insert your lens/shutter through the hole in the lens board and then secure it with a jamb nut. Also referred to as a retaining ring, you thread it onto the threads of the lens/shutter to secure it to the board. Fred. |

Frankly, I don't know the answer to these questions. Perhaps someone else can jump in here. All of my lenses came with the retaining rings. http://www.stephenshuart.com sells lens boards and can probably give you advice on the lensboard question. Fred. |
