Hi,

I read through some posts here and found out where to locate the serial # on my "new" Pre-Anniversary Speed Graphic, my first-ever Graflex. It reads 238702. Any idea of the date of this? All I know is Pre-Anns were made 1928-1939, from this site's information.

I don't see any bedrail markings on the camera. I'm guessing such stampings came later?

For what it's worth, camera came with a Zeiss lens, 15cm, in dial-set Compur shutter, which I've read points to 1931 or older, but I realize lens could be older than the camera.

A Kalart Synchronized Range Finder is also attached. Optical finder atop box is marked "GRAFLEX" and "PAT. PEND." Wire hoop finder has curved top. Has Graphic "spring" back. Side handle is removeable via clips to access side tripod threaded hole. Tripod hole on bottom, too.

1939-- the only year that pre anns had an optical finder. Date codes on the rails came in the 60s
