Well, about 3 weeks ago I sent my 4x5 Pacemaker Speed off to Fred Lustig to have the body release fixed, the front shutter cla'ed and the rangefinder adjusted. Just got it back today, securely packed and in great shape! The shutter speeds are now crisp and according to the timing sheet, fairly accurate. The rf now matches the ground glass perfectly, and the body release works. Fred included on the reciept a note saying that my serial # was allocated in late 1947. I am in the process of putting a roll of Tri X Pan through it using my RH 10 and I will give a user report. I was more than pleased with the quality of the work, and Mr. Lustig was very nice to deal with. Highly recommended. |

Hi,
Very glad to hear that your camera came back well. Fred does indeed do fine work!!! The few things he has done for me have not left his work-bench in any less than the best possible condition. I'm awaiting my Super Speed back from him any day now, last FedEx tracking scan had it in Boulder,CO a long way still from Massachusetts. He had to disassemble & reassemble the Graflex 1000 shutter to replace all the shutter leaves, which he said was no small job and he spent the best part of 3 full days on it.
Please let us hear how that film comes out, i know you have eagerly been waiting to run that roll through that rh/10 for the past few months!!!
