Boy, ain't the web wonderful? This forum is terrific!

I have inherited a lovely R.B.Auto and am attempting to clean it up - the poor thing was stored by the ocean and the salt air has caused quite a bit of copper crystalization in the hardware. I need to remove the shutter winder and tensioner assemblies, which is scaring me to death! I'm afraid that if I remove the rollers I will never be able to re-tension it properly.

Does anyone have any experience in such a complete disassembly/reassembly of the R.B. curtain aperture?? I have seen references to existing repair manuals in the posts: would anyone have access to a repair manual for the R.B. Auto that would address this subject? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Also, can anyone suggest a source for replacement bellows & viewer hood?

The camera itself is really a joy to behold. I can still see the pencil marks from the craftsman who built it. Sure beats the heck out of digital!!

Thanx for making this forum available - can't imagine where else one could find such excellent information - well done!
