Anyone out there with experience with the Kodak Synchro-Rapid 800?
I know these are notoriously difficult to work on, but I can't figure out how to get it open! I've taken the lenses and the speed ring off but from there I don't see any screws. There are 3 on the back but they appear only to hold on the aperature adjustment ring.
The shutter cocks but doesn't fire when the release is pressed until you push the cocking lever back a bit. Seems like something I could fix if I could get it open.
Thanks in advance for any and all help,
Nathan |

Hi...I just happen to have one of those...and I've had it open for cleaning and lube. If my memory serves me right, you rotate that front plate a few degrees counter-clockwise to pop it off. You will have to press down, rotate, and it will arrive at a point where there is a "detent" where you can remove it. Fred. |
