Just bought a 150mm f-5.6 Caltar Lens that looks and acts brand new! I am going to use it on my Graphic View 11. Does anyone know anything about this lens? Is it a Rodenstock manufactured lens? What does HR stand for?
Thanks,

Youll find this lens listed in the table of Large Format lenses, this site, apparently a Calumet Lens. Fred. |

Hi clnfrd...
Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, I knew that it was a Calumet lens - and I have seen different series numbers - like Caltar S11 - and Caltar 11N - and now the Caltar HR. Somewhere I saw where the S11 was manuf. by Schneider and the 11N by Rodenstock - but I don't know about the HR. I appreciate your input!

To interested Caltar lens users...
Today I received the May/June issue of VIEW CAMERA magazine and there was the answer to my question about my 150 mm f 5.6 Calter HR lens! It seems that it was made in 1984 by Topcon, has Elements/Groups of 6/4, has a 70 degree angle of coverage, a 210 mm image circle, and a 58 mm filter size! It really is a gem! Thanks for your interest!
