Many thanks for theses informations.
Bad news.. The Pace in working repair process is a 1949 one, and the Kalart is a E-6, (ith a prism) so not possible to adjust a 10".
I'll try to the limit with a 203mm. But not sure.
Many thanks again.

Les-
I have a 1934 4x5 that has W.W. II-era Kalart Model E mounted, obviously retrofit. I'm restoring camera back to original specs. Want to remove R.F. and either replace it with early external linked model (if this is correct for 1934) or early-style flat flashgun mounting bracket with no R.F. (I have the parts). I don't have any info on 1934. When was the first Kalart for Speed Graphics introduced? [/b] |

The first mention of a coupled rangefinder is in the Dec 1937 supplement. I don't have a Jan '38 sup, but the April Supplement finally notes a Kalart and a couple of other coupled rangefinders. So a '34 Speed would in '34 wouldn't have any RF. _________________ "In order to invent, you need a good imagination and a lot of junk" Thomas Edison |

Thanks! I really appreciate the information. Now I will un-retrofit the camera to look like it would have in the year it was made. Gracias. _________________ Got first Speed Graphic at 15 (1976).Other kids were using 35mm SLR's. I ran around with flashbulbs and sheet-film holders, I wanted to be Weegee (#2084). |
