Thanks again Nick.

yes I do shoot MF with an RB Pro-S in 6x7 format. The wide equivalent (it's not quite true) of 24mm in 6x7 is about 50mm for the RB. The truth of the matter is that it's a little longer than 24mm and something closer to 26mm or some such. Doubling ofcourse give you 100mm in 4x5 and the true doubling from MF is actually closer to 110 in all likelyhood rather than 90mm.

I have actually decided on the 90mm after all this for a few very good reasons. I think I'll probably get more variety and use from the 90 given that the 75 is closer to 21mm in 35. I would rather err on the side of longer than too wide.

On an entirely different matter, I am buying a Fuji Quickchange holder for the Crown and wanted to know if anybody else used these units?

Best, Simon.

I am not buying a 75mm blindly, I understand the lens is an investment but I am also buying 2nd hand to take the edge off. I was looking at a 90mm but this is more like a 28mm in 35mm format and thats a little too tame for my personal requirements. The Crown that I am buying already has the 135mm f4.7 Optar on it so I am covered for a slightly longer focal length.

Actually, if you figure for an 8x10 print a 90mm is about the same as a 22.5mm on 35. I usually figure it as equivalent to 24mm in my work. The 75 is pretty close to an 18mm.

I know a lot of websites out there say differently but if you figure 4x the 35mm lens you are pretty close.
