To prove the SPEED GRAPHIC is alive and well,an 'Anniversary'5x4 model is used by the Turner Prize 2002 nominee,CATHERINE YASS,born in London,Her work is on display at the World famous TATE BRITAIN with her color transparencies taken with the S.G.
The work is shown on lightboxes of people & interior spaces-the process of neg onto pos, then a composite image is then shown as a trannie-takes up half a wall.
She also lowers the GRAPHIC over the side of buildings (long exposure)and gets a blurred prospective. What you call abstract landscapes! Her work is exhibited widely on a Inernational level.
Long live the SPEED GRAPHIC...but before you lower your S.G.over the side of the Empire State, get it fitted with a parachute and a long piece of string! (rope preferred).
