Hi,
Thanks for the input on the Military issue of the Speed Graphic--I lost that bid on ebay. What I did recently win was a Pacemaker Speed. Item number: 2946333948 Pacemaker Speed graphic w/ 127 Ektar EXC++ What I believe is a 4x5 with a "22" Graphic 120 roll back which I'm ok with. Can anyone tell me if I'll need the Graflok back if I decide to shoot 4x5. I'm not sure if it comes with it or anything else I might need. I'd love not to have to lug around my 4x5 Cambo if I don't have to.
Thanks,
Cheryl
PS This is a great website!

Cheryl,
From the pictures on the auction it looks like a decent condition Top Rangefinder Pacemaker speed Graphic, the latest version that started production in 1955. It has a Graflok back as part of its standard equipement. The knob wind Graflex 22 roll film back is made to fit a 4 x 5. The Polaroid back may be useable but a newer 545 will be much nicer/easier to use. Click on the search button, use Graflex 22 as a keyword to find the post about the rollfilm back, there are some flatness issues with the knob wind roll holders; next use Polaroid 500 as the keyword to turn up all the posted information on it.
Going to the main page (home) of this site, clicking on Cameras then on Model History and reading the link information of Kodak lens dating, manifacturing codes, and everything in Pacemaker section and you'll know as much as most members of this site as well as how to operate your camera.
Charles
